Simple past tense To show that an event occurred in the past

2.      past Continuous Tense
S + was/were + present participle/V-ing
Past continuous tense Is used to reveal that an action is occurring at a certain time in the past

1.      Where was you meeting your client at 10 o’clock yesterday?
2.      Someone tried to steal her phone while she was queuing for a railway ticket.
3.      My sister and I were walking on the beach at 5 pm last week.
4.      At 7 this morning he was eating breakfast with his kids.

S + have/has + been + present participle/V-ing
Present perfect continuous tense  To disclose the completed action at some point in the past or the action has started in the past and continues until now. Usually the action there is a certain duration of time and there is relevance to the current conditions
Ex:

    2. The construction labors are thirsty since they have been removing the scaffoldings.
    3. They haven’t been doing anything for the past hour.

Present perfect tense Used to express an activity or situation that has been started in the past and has been completed at a certain point in time in the past or still continues until now

1.      I’ve read this book.

Past perfect tense To state that an action has been completed at a point in the past before any other action takes place.

6.      simple Future Tense
S + will + bare infinitive
S + be (is/am/are) + going to + bare infinitive)
Simple future tense To state that an action takes place in the future, spontaneously or planned
